AJ Patel- Chairman
Patel has
been involved in the Packaging Industry since 1981 and
has established himself as a leader in the field. He owns
and operates several successful package
manufacturing and distribution companies. Mr. Patel is a founding
member of the world's largest entrepreneur organization.
TiE is a non-profit global network of entrepreneurs and professionals
established to foster and nurture the entrepreneurial spirit.
This Organization is widely considered the most influential
organization of entrepreneurs assembled.
Robert DeNola- Strategy
DeNola has served in the packaging industry
for over 30 years. He is the founder
of three companies in the packaging arena: GlobalPKG, a business-to-business
packaging eService; PKG, a software company that designed a suite
for the automation and management of packaging design;
and Dymax Packaging, a package manufacturer. DeNola's accomplishments
in the packaging industry include several packaging patents, development of
PKG™, the software suite that was integrated into GPKG's
eService. With an in-depth understanding of the issues
related to package development and a vision for improving these
processes, DeNola has helped solve global packaging challenges for
such giants as Intel and 3Com. He is highly regarded in the packaging
industry for his design and technology innovations, and his
visionary perspectives.
Dave Rossow- Chief Product Architect
In his role as Chief Product Architect, Rossow spearheads the technical design and development to the
GPKG offering. Additionally, he is responsible for establishing and driving the company's product and
technical roadmap. Prior to joining the GPKG team, Rossow spent eight years as a professional software
developer within the packaging software industry, including three years working at Harry Rhodes Management
Systems. Prior to this, Rossow served as an independent software programmer and database developer. Along
with Rossow's experience in software development, he is adept in working with Unix and Microsoft platforms.
Rossow received a B.S. in Computer Science from Iowa State University.
Tim Gathercole-
Senior Packaging Technologist
Tim Gathercole is an integral contributor to
the programming in GPKG and its online knowledge base. He wrote
"BoxComp," a popular program for predicting and recommending specifications,
which has now been integrated into GPKG. In his over twenty
years in the packaging industry Tim worked for various
Lever Bros packaging divisions, including their marketing, systems and
development depts., for Assi Domain and for LINPAC. During that time he
headed up the Plant Design Department, where he was responsible for
the group design and product development. Additionally, Tim
was also responsible for all factory routing and wrote the group's
CAD programming as well as other strategic design and sales
integration programs. He holds five patents to his credit. Tim is a
full member of the British Institute of Packaging, the American
Institute of Packaging Professionals and
TAPPI.
Sonja Norland- Director of Professional
Services
As the Director of Professional Services, Sonja oversees
the implementation of GPKG's technology into client packaging and
engineering processes. This service includes needs assessment,
technical and engineering support, implementation consultation,
account establishment, account configuration, usability analysis and
training. Sonja first began working with Robert DeNola in 1992 as a
key contributor to the development of various packaging and CAD
software products, including Pkg 2.5. Prior to joining the GPKG
team, Sonja worked for Kent H. Landsberg as a packaging Engineer and
later developed software and equipment for the packaging industry.
Sonja holds a B.S. in Industrial Technology / Packaging and an MBA
from San Jose State University.
